How important is your 'type'

You know how everyone has a type.. everyone generally goes for this one kind

Some boys find themselves tall blondes, while others like the short cute ones..

Some girls like the well tall built men, while others might like the boy next door look.

Infact after a while, your type becomes very obvious to your friends, and they just know which girl or guy would you go for in a lot.

Me: I dont think I can ever like this boy

Bff: Really wow

Me: He is your type, I know you think he is kinda good looking

Bff: Ummm yeah.. I have a type?

Me: Yup, he looks exactly like what you have liked before.. lol

Bff: Haha.. I have a type

The question is .."How important is the type?"

Sometime you do it without knowing, and sometimes you have these set rules. You know what you want in a boy/girl, and more than that you know what you absolutely don't want, and you will do everything in your power to not get into anything with the person because..well.. he/she has what you don't want, so even that attraction that you are seeing is not enough.

I never thought I had a type till recently, although it has changed over the years but there still is a type that I have. And unfortunately even I can't seem to get myself out it.

I never made an effort to have a type, but I guess I do. In fact I think what you don't want in a person overpowers you so much, that you are ready to not even go for some one who you are really comfortable with..

Me: She is cute, I think she likes you

He: Yeah I think she is cute

Me: So what's the prblem?

He: She is not my type

Me: She is a pretty girl, what's with the type man

He: She is ummm... not tall enough

Me: Are you serious? You will let this one go because she is not tall enough

He: I know I will have issues with that, so why get into it

Sigh!! Seriously, people always say that they are open to thing, but I don't think so. I know what kind of people I will not go for either, and even if he is the sweetest, somethings are unfortunately a turn off.

Infact my ex thought I was not his type, that's why he never wanted to get things going with me..lol..

So yeah.. type is very important, and I wonder how many people actually over come it
